Chloe Proebsting
I am a young creative with enthusiasm and self-motivation that drives my work and goals forward. I specialize in video production and am always looking for new opportunities to expand my videography, photography, and graphic design skills. I love finding new ways to tell a story, convey information, and develop visually pleasing content to serve a variety of needs.
Here’s a deeper dive into how I’ve become the creator I am today:
My passion for content creation started when I created a comedic-styled youtube channel in middle school. With that channel, I developed a system of self-discipline where I held myself to a schedule and pushed myself to learn new video skills in an attempt to reach my goal of being the next big Youtuber.
Once I got to high school, I shifted my dreams from being a personality in front of the camera to becoming a visionary who operates behind the camera. I joined the nationally acclaimed BHS-TV program at my high school where I was able to win National Student Production awards. Likewise, I got into sports media with my involvement in making weekly highlights for the Varsity Football team and producing content for the Girls’ soccer program.
Eventually, I ended up at the University of Kansas where I continued to pursue my interest in sports media and expand my digital content creation capabilities. I first got a job working at Rock Chalk Video in the athletics department. During that time, I grew an appreciation for live broadcasts with the hundreds of hours I spent helping produce video board and ESPN+ shows for various athletic events. Likewise, I had the opportunity to continue filming and editing social media-driven videos for different teams.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, I was able to seize an opportunity to maintain consistency in developing video content with Indoor Drone Tours. I was hired as a remote video editor to piece together drone tour videos for residential and commercial properties using techniques like color correction, speed ramping, audio design, and more. This role has not only helped me perfect the fundamentals but also pushed me to develop a reliable workflow that emphasizes organization, efficiency, communication, and attention to detail. On top of this, I have had a diverse collection of freelance work that has helped me push myself further with not only videography but graphic design and photography as well. All of my experience thus far has made me feel very comfortable working across the Adobe Suite, especially with my daily time spent in programs like Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
As I get ready to graduate this May with my Strategic Communications and Sports Management double majors, I am eager to find a brand that I can help elevate strategically and visually. Below you can view my work and get in touch with me.
